Koh Phangan is an island, part of Suratthani Province, easily reachable from Koh Samui within 30 minutes by high-speed catamaran. The island is well-known for its monthly all-night-long "Full Moon Party" lunar calendar celebration on Haad Rin. Most private luxury villas are located on the north coast cliffs overlooking Haad Salad (Salad Beach), which offers a more peaceful environment with white-sand beaches similar to the famous Hat Khuat and Hat Thian.
